About
Hi, I'm Helen and I'm the owner of The Black Sheep and Dog. I founded this business just over 4 years ago by myself, selling products at local crafting events. Overtime and after many, many, many events I became good friends with some amazing local artists and creators. We all had our own small businesses and all wanted to grow and develop our products and customer base. An opportune moment crossed my path when I was dog sitting for a friend in the village of Patrington in June 2023. A small florist owner had decided a change in path in life and put the shop on the market, without much thought to be honest I decided to go for it. I've always wanted a shop and I knew the perfect creators to join me on this ride! 2 months later the shop was mine, all decorated and ready to face the public! Since then the shop has gone from strength to strength and now we're online! So come on this journey with us and see what comes next!

Mission
My mission is for you to see and meet all the local artists and creators in the area and to see what amazing talent lies on your front doorstep. See for yourself what these incredible people have created in my small shop. Buying from small businesses really makes a difference to each maker and their local communities.
As a community of small businesses not only do we want to show you our finished works, we also want to show you how we create our items. We'll be doing this by running a variety of amazing hands on workshops so you can experience what we do each and every day.
